Since the early 1980’s, two electrical power and distribution companies, Electrical Marketing Solutions (EMS), and Control Technology Company (CTC) pioneered the western US states in electrical product sales, custom engineering, and electrification solutions for the energy market.
Nexus Power specializes in power and electrical equipment sales, custom design, and engineering solutions for commercial, residential, utility, OEM, and industrial energy applications.

EMS History
EMS began from opening a stocking warehouse in the 1980s, and then moving into a 10,000 square foot facility in 2005. Over the years, EMS organization grew to 16 sales professionals, continually demonstrating value, to manufacturers, distributors and end users alike in the Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Utility markets.
In 2009 ABB contracted with EMS to represent their Power Products/Power Systems and Low Voltage Products and Systems. This allowed EMS to hire a team of professionals with experience in selling power distribution systems for Low Voltage and Medium Voltage applications. Our goal has been to drive demand at the end user level and to service that demand through distribution. That model proved so successful that EMS replicated it throughout other business units for a total of 3 Business Development Managers (BDMs).
EMS, now Nexus Power, consistently reviews our sales deployment as we strive to best cover our large geography. Currently, we rely upon our dedicated sales force of seasoned professionals who are responsible for facilitating all of our distribution’s needs. They are committed to understanding the unique demands of each of our customers in all of the markets we serve.

CTC History
Since 1983, CTC has provided turnkey, cost-effective power distribution equipment solutions tailored to meet our clients specific needs. CTC, represents leading industrial application electrical product manufacturers, including ABB EPIS, to provide clients the latest power distribution electrical equipment.
The CTC, now Nexus Power, success starts with the philosophy of understanding our clients needs and then providing appropriate engineering design assistance to guarantee the right product for the customer’s application. Our extensive experience allows us to provide our customer a deep and varied knowledge base to compliment their industry. This allows us to streamline product procurement and custom engineering services.
Our project management, design and sales team has been instrumental in driving large and diverse projects to completion in Industrial Mining, Oil and Gas, Data Centers, mixed use Commercial, and Multi Family Residential. Nexus Power engineers, systems specialists, and sales team, have decades of technical expertise and reach-back support to offer customers across industrial sectors the most extensive portfolio of power distribution and electrical products.
